Posts: 423 05/16/08 11:03 AM	Unfortunately, the week has been such that I just haven't been able to time things right to call and check on Carole like I wanted to. I am going to call her later in the day today to see how things are coming along. Please continue to pray for her therapy and healing. It's a difficult one to be sure. Yesterday I had an echo cardiogram which showed a leaky heart valve. I guess they don't feel it necessary to do anything w/it, so I will just live w/it and hope it doesn't get any more leaky!! Ha!! I'll try at some point to go online and research what kind of things I can do to safe-guard (if anything) it from doing so. Just one of the perks of aging I guess... hrmmmphfff!!! I will be here later on today. Just wanted to check in a minute while I could. Nothing is getting done around here now that nice weather has finally arrived!!! Just no gumption for it, so it will wait - even if the transplantings don't get done until next year, and the flowers don't get planted etc... Haven't cranked up our pond yet either... it will all come in due time. VAN... where have you been?? missing you. Jazzie, I am so behind on everything in life right now - I'm sorry & hope you'll forgive me. I'm not ignoring you - just having a hard time keeping up. All of you take care & I'll check back later. P.S. Wolf, I hope you're feeling ok and that things are going alright w/you. You and all the CBX family are in my prayers.

Posts: 29 05/17/08 01:07 AM	It's been a very busy week and I am not coping well. Just too much pain and not enough energy to deal with it. I can't wait for this school yr to be over so I won't be driving kids everywhere. Of course it could get even worse with them being out of school and wanting to get together with friends and go places. Lin- I hope that the leaky heart valve isn't going to cause you any more health problems than you already have. I'm praying that it isn't anything serious. I hope that everyone else is doing well and that Carole is healing nicely. Take care all

Please don't ever feel that you need to apologize for having to take care of your life and your health first. I would be insulted if you don't put yourself first. Besides, I don't feel the least bit being ignored.....quite the opposite, I cannot ask for a more caring girlie-sis like you. Plese take care of yourself, promise? I also have a leaky heart.....and mild cardiomyolpathy. I'm taking a natural form of bovine heart everday, which seemed to have lightened up my heart load. Don't know how toexplain this though. I, too, spent lots time researching online on everything about my diagnosis.....however, to retain all that information is quite another matter. Hi, Sharon..........long time no see. I truly admire how you manage with all your kids. Hope next week will be an easier one for you. Happy and relaxing weekend.

Posts: 423 05/17/08 04:01 PM	I remember those very busy hectic school days when my kids were always "on go"...and how draining it got to be. Unfortunately for us, our illnesses do not slow down a bit either, and the older the kids got...the harder it became to keep up and to cope. (I think we tend to forget that we age along w/our kids when we're so busy with all "the stuff of life"). And with that process comes the added stressors of increased illness/pain/disorder. I'm really feeling for you hon. And I wish I could take some of the stress that you're dealing with away along w/the pain. I hope that you can set about working out a suitable "summer plan" so that the burden of summer activities doesn't all fall on you! At least strive toward a good balance of activity and relaxation. You NEED IT!!! Very much so. Cause if mom burns out all activities will curtail drastically - and you need to have some down-time for yourself sans the activities, pain, running, obligations, and everything else of life that demands a piece of you. Will definitely be keeping you in my prayers for continued strength, wisdom, and respite as well as the many health concerns.

Please keep us updated on what you find out, and of course, how you're doing. Have to run off to an HOA meeting now, I'm so tired...wish I could just lay down.

Sharon, sounds like summer may give a small reprieve, even with the kids wanting to go places. If it gets bad enough, just say no. I couldn't agree more that you NEED relaxation with everything else that goes on with life. That's what summer is for, right?? lol... Now, who the heck ever thought of making a bovine heart supplement? Sounds disgusting....it sure better work wonders. :D What, truly, is it supposed to do?????? waving my magic wand and making everyone feel better so they can all go out and enjoy the spring sunshine I really have a lot to catch up wit on here, but not tonight. I spent a better part of the day digging flowers and hauling dirt fromthe garden to my flowers, and planting strawberries. I hurt..... So, goodnight to all.
