Just got the news.......Hubby needs a hernia operation. He's been in pain for a couple weeks and finally went to the doctor today. The surgery could be
scheduled for as soon as next week.

Poor guy! Geribaldy's last one was a bugger! It was more repair from the over twenty year old one that went bad than anything...but he's not supposed
to lift ever again!! (not anything of much weight at all).
Is this his first surgery for hernia? He'll have to be really careful for quite awhile. I hope it's not a serious one, but maybe just a small one. Even the small ones are painful. Well, will be praying all goes well for him...and you, mamaT. Keep us informed, will you? Hardly anyone's been here at all so far this summer. Kind of depressing really. But whoever checks in now & then & reads this, I'm sure will keep you in their prayers as well. {{{{HUGS}}}} |

Thinking of you and hubby and remembering my own hernia surgery many years ago. It is practically same day surgery now, isn't it? Nevertheless, it hurts
and there is a recovery period in which you must not lift and take time to heal. Good luck to you both.

Hi Ladies!
Yes, from what I've been told, this will be outpatient surgery. Hubby's off for blood tests this morning and is scheduled for a C.A.T. scan on Tuesday. After that, everything is still in the air. Hubby's aggravated because we have this coming week off and he can't use it to do much. He also can't do the organized bike ride he's done almost every year since he started cycling. This is going to be an interesting time.....to say the least!

beautiful and I have no where to go or anything to do beyond the normal. My body yearns to be in my canoe especially with all the water in the rivers. My gd
tried to orchestrate something for the next 3 days, but it isn't going to work. Dang. so back to the same old same old. Thinking of you and hubby this
week.

Hey ladies and Wolfie!
Well, this is the news that's fit to print. We got the results back on Hubby's blood work and it seems he has a little gall bladder problem as well as the hernia. It doesn't seem particularly serious and we're hoping it stays that way. Hubby also has an appointment to see the hernia surgeon on Monday for a consultation. We are just hoping and praying that nothing serious comes up with our families during this time. Even with me doing the lifting, Hubby's not going to be fit to travel for several weeks. And that's the way it is in the Tiger household today. Cheers!

Hernias are really no fun when they finally get the point they need repair....it is generally an outpatient surgery, which is a good thing... but it does take
a bit of time to heal completly.
He'll be alright tho.. :) Just taking it easy is what is needed. :) Gallbladder, well that is an improvement over the way they used to do it... Seriously... its a fairly decent surgery now comparitively- used to be a very long surgery- that involved extensive cutting.. very invasive. Today- well, its not like that. Diet helps with that- but when it hits-- belive me, he'll know. I'll both of you in my thoughts and prayers MT... let us know when he is planning to go. |

Poor guy. When it rains it pours.
One problem is enough, but two...??? Well, tell him that we're all going to be praying for him and that we hope it's a quick fix for both. His recup. will be hard for awhile, but he'll get through it! May God watch over and keep you. Sending extra {{{ }}}
sounds as though you could use them!

Did you get the sheep gif I e-mailed for Linda?
I sent it off yesterday I believe. Let me know. I have other ones too if you ever want any (and...I can find them!!) I'm not so organized any more.

Thanks, Lempsy. I'll let you (all) know when I know something more, hopefully tomorrow evening.
To top this off, we both got the questionaires for jury duty last week. All I can ask is prayers that we stay relatively sane and don't completely lose our senses of humor during this time. Well, that along with the usual.

Lin, I got the sheep, but not quite sure how to use it. Will it go on her emails if I type in the proper
? Dumb me never knew how to use the greyhounds
either tho I did keep them. Jazzie says hello to all. Same old ailments for her. Hard to keep her head above water for all the problems. She does think of us
often and soon when she conquers her new she will drop in.

You heard something from Jazzie. I have had her on my mind so much lately...and just really miss "seeing" her!
There's hardly a person ever around here these days. :( It will be wonderful to have her back w/us. It's good to know she has a new computer. Learning a new one takes some effort. You said that you "kept the grayhounds"... how did you do that? Did you put them on your desk top or in a file folder with your pictures or what? Whatever you did, you can do it with the .jpg's and .gifs that are sent to you in e-mails. Just do that. And then when you go to e-mail linda, you would go to the place where you have them stored and open it to find the one you want. After writing your email, click on the "Attach" clip and this folder/desk top should appear as a list where you can then click on the picture or image you want to attach to the email. Then just send it off. BUT... the easiest way is to just forward my email directly to Linda with the sheep image already attached to it. Just hit forward and address it to her & send. She should get it just fine. |

Well, here's the deal, folks. Hubby's scheduled for surgery on August 11th. It might have been sooner, but the surgeon is going on vacation for two
weeks. We were able to get Hubby a medical exemption from jury duty due to his pending surgery, but alas, I'll have to take my chances with the judicial
wheel of fortune. Oh well, I'll take whatever immediate blessings God sends our way and trust Him for the rest.
Good to see Jazzie too!

Let's just hope that the court docket is reaaaally slow this time of year! It this for petit or grand jury duty?
It's been quite awhile now since I had it, but the very last one that I had was only for a month and I didn't have to go in at all. I'd call every monday and there'd never be anything going for that week...so I lucked out!! Maybe you will too. Please post a reminder about Roger's surgery date for me if you would? I am so bad a spacing things off these days & I'd appreciate a reminder closer to the day. I am not as good at remembering these types of things as I used to be. Turning sixty turned me into another person altogether methinks. Noting seems to want to work right!!
Anyway, hang in there hon. Things will all work out. God has you in His sights & you just need to leave all of it in His capable hands. Hope your week upcoming is a good one!! :
