That is my song for the last few days. BAck injections have helped somewhat but oh, those other pains that come and go but sometimes stay. Keeping busy is not
the answer today. fooey I really hate to take pain meds....
thanks, Van. Did it stop raining there yet? we have had 4 days of sun in the past month...Everything is water logged. Today is better with the pain, No reason,
it just is. What a life....
Sure am glad that pain let up for you, and may those clouds clear, too.
Only 4 days of sun? and in June? Weird summer weather everywhere. Here in Arizona it has been below 100° nearly the whole month. It's almost unheard of and
certainly the least hot June in my five years. Saw a news article saying Phoenix hasn't had a June this nice since 1913. Normally we are close to or in the
110s so being in the 90s all month has been really nice.

I'm glad the pain is better for you today carole. Let's hope it lasts!!
And our weather here is HOT ... STICKY .... WET ... NOT FUN!!!! Between 91-94º
Not liking this weather at all. And gw, I would literally die in 110º heat...no kidding. I am having a terrible time breathing in this. We have had to have the
air on for days now.
The weather is weird anymore. And there's not much we can do about it.
Flowers/plants/gardens...not doing well. It's really something!
We attended BIL Dick's 20th heart transplant reunion today. We have one more family thing coming in July (which we may not go to???) but then, should have
all the pre-scheduled stuff done. I still have to try to make it to my sister's house. Haven't seen her since she moved eons ago. But that won't
happen for awhile.
I am finished with book entries!! YEAY!! But OH LOHRDY!!! Trying to get it all together now and organized into something is even a bigger challenge. I am not
liking this at all. I just want it to be over and done with! I should just stick everything sort of in there any which way & forget about organizing it
into any semblance of organization...easiest for me. But, just thinking about it gives me the willy's!!
Anyway, it's good to at least have something done towards an end.
You all take care & I'll check back tomorrow.
By the way, gw...we have been getting spammed terrible of late!! Mostly chinese knock off sellers and they are doing this across the board!! Yuku seems to pick
them off as soon as they arrive, but I've had to delete three in the last day or so & it's frustrating!!!
STUPID SPAMMERS!!
So annoying!!
If you ever see them here, go ahead and first "hide the post" with topic tools. Then just go to admin controls and find their member user name and
ban them. Then manually tick the forum boxes to deny access into every single forum!! The forum access controls will show red after they've been checked ,
not green.
Then you can come back here and delete the offending spam altogether.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Darned people anyway!
Ugh! those spammers again! I haven't seen them here yet but they were spamming other boards fiercely a couple months ago. Don't they get it? Nobody
wants their stuff anyway?! What a pain they are!
You got the entries done? Woohoo! Hope this next part of the book goes smoothly, Lempy; it all sounds very exciting. Please keep us updated.
Today was the first day back over 100° so the party's over, but it was good while it lasted. :) It's possible this may be my last summer here,
we'll see..

Wow, what a difference in temp. We usually have Iowa's but not this time. It has been very cool, bearly making it into the 70's and with LOTS of rain.
100's ar too h9ot for me, even if it is a dry heat... I have only worn shorts one day this summer and then had to change because i was cold.
Congratualtions for getting to this point, Lin. STay with it! Finish it off. I must get to work on the new confidentiality policy for the library. Meeting this
week with the search committee for a new director, plus the other normal stuff. Trying to keep busy and not think of the problems my son has...and a grandchild
with a drug addicted father....
I've heard that AZ is hot like that most of the summer. Yikes! I love hot weather, but at 100 or above, I really don't think I'd like it much,
especially since I'm an outdoorsy kind of gal, and that would be uncomfortable!!! We FINALLY made it into the 80's!!! The humidity is high, though, and
people are grumbling. We go from 40's and rain for weeks on end, to 80's and sun and sticky heat. Personally, I like this better, but that's me. :)
At least I was able to get in the garden long enough to weed it through once, and we're starting it again tomorrow, weather permitting. Always a chance of
rain/tstorms when it gets this warm and sticky. Some can get rather nasty, too...
We haven't had a real thunderstorm yet this year, which is weird. No lightening, just a few rumbles and a little rain last week. By now, we usually get one
a week at least.
Lin, glad to hear that the entries are done! Woohoo!
Lots of busy times coming up for us. Last weekend was a baptism, this weekend is the Edgar Fair and Luke is going mini-golfing with an uncle, the next weekend
is the 4th (partytime) and the weekend after that is my birthday! Yikes! Trying to keep up with everything around here is hard lately, since I've been
tired 24/7. I just don't feel like myself any more, honestly. I used to have energy....I used to get up when the sun did. Maybe I should stop staying up so
late? And falling asleep on the couch? :) But my energy level is less than 50% of what it used to be, methinks, and I never get enough done in a day. The time
just flies and poof, it's time to start dinner.
Anyway, I best get ready for bed soon. Spending too much time on here at night. :D
I hope everyone is staying cool and sleeping well. Take care and enjoy summer if/when you can. It goes too fast....
The hot, sticky has finally arrived. Van, if you have FM then the fatigue is part of it. I find it very frustrating. I see so much to do and all I want to do
is sleep or read. I really have to force myself to do stuff. Glad you got out in your garden anyway. I should go weed too. Think I will....
Same here...it was 96 here yesterday, and so hot, the boys were miserable most of the day. We took lots of breaks, and almost totally got the garden weeded.
Finishing this morning. I fried my back, though, even tough I reapplied my SPF50 sunscreen 6 times yesterday. Huts to wear a shirt. (sigh) At least I don't
peel. I'm finally looking tan....and my legs hardly ever tan.
It's 5:40,a nd I've been up for an hour already...don't know what's up with that. But I'm heading outside...
The weather truly has been weird everywhere, even the Weather Channel people have commented on it! Frost warnings in Oregon in mid-June??? Hubby and I were in
mid-Illinois visiting family and friends over the weekend. Between the multiple violent storms and intense heat and humidity, I was very happy to stay inside
most of the time. The storms were bad enough that my brother-in law pulled some potted plants into their garage before the rain hit. And once while we were
driving, a lightning bolt came as close as I ever want to experience one. Hubby likes joking that I almost jumped into his lap when that happened, not that it
would have been possible.
Lin, I look forward to buying a copy of your book whenever you get it published. I know it's a lot of work, but I know you can do it! I should get back to
writing something myself, but it seems I always have an excuse, usually flimsy. Someone needs to kick me in the butt, I guess.
Good to see everyone! :)
Forgiveness is an act of the will, and the will can function regardless of the temperature of the heart. ~ Corrie Ten Boom
profound for his little age, don't you think??
Good boy, conner!
Pretty darned cute!!
and...he couldn't be more right! Geeeeeeeeeze, it's been HOT!!!!!
For June!!! Man...we've had heat indexes of 116º of late. We're at a "pleasant...uh,hunh!!"... 87º right now.
Too hot to do anything! And I worry about jerry who insists on going outside to spray weeds, or muclch around the trees, and the paltry few little flowers etc.
His heart rate as well as blood pressure is up!! Scares me. Especially when it stays up and isn't going down very much when he's in where it's cool
and just sitting watching t.v.
I'll tell ya, this is quite the start to summer.
I've been missing and will be until this stupid book is done. I finally got serious about it and now am on a roll. But there's still lots to be done by
way of formatting, etc.
The thing too is, it's going to have lots of stuff in it that probably shouldn't even BE in a book - they aren't worth a hoot...but, some are from
when I was young and it sort of represents a span from when I was young to now. So had to include some of the real duds.
Oh well...it is what it is.
You guys stay COOOL!!! and thanks van, for the chuckle today! (or rather, thanx conner!!) :)
I have been itching to write something too. It has been quite awhile since I had anything published. I write for a nursing magazine and in the past it has been
about my weird procedures except for the one on osteoporosis. Living with chronic pain has been written about many times already. How about when joint
replacements don't do well...? YOu keep at it , Lin. We are waiting with baited breath.
